For example, instead of naming a group “Logistics,” name it “Logistics Strategic Planning Team.” Then, as soon as you create a group, pin the description and purpose so it will be the first thing everybody reads when they visit.ģ. When you create a new group, make the purpose clear.Ī group name should let people know whether it’s for a specific team, project, Q&A or general interest. Always ask your team members before adding them to a new group.Ģ. And while you might want everyone to join the party, don’t invite all your followers at once. Has somebody already asked your question? Does the group you want to create already exist? Search Workplace before you create a new group to make sure it’s not a duplicate. Search before you post or create a new group - and hold on inviting all your followers. Create posts or groups not related to work.ġ.Give recognition and celebrate successes.Include a relevant “About” section or pin a group description post when creating new groups.Utilize videos or photos containing people without consent.Use little-known acronyms or abbreviations.Post about birthdays or work anniversaries without consent.Use to tag your coworkers or groups on posts or in comments.Provide exclusive content, reducing the need to repeat messages in email or other channels.Regularly like or comment on others’ posts and create posts on your personal timeline and within relevant group(s).
